Wow! What an impact this website design had on us!
Contrasting colour scheme. Bold fonts. Strong imagery. Punchy logo. There's a lot to get excited about with this pay monthly website design. Let's take you through our design process step by step for this one:
Logo
The team at Rare Breed already had a great logo design which had blocky, bold fonts and a strong graphical element. So we used this as a starting point for our website design.
Fonts
We tried a few different fonts in our mood board before we hit on one which worked perfectly for their branding. We wanted something which was blocky, worked well in capitalisation, was easy to read, re-sized well for mobile and gave a strong, confident feel to the website design. We opted to use Fjalla One as the title font and Rubik for the body copy:

We love this font combination - it works really well and looks great on their website design.
Colours
We took colour inspiration from the brand logo, opting to use only 3 colours across the website design. We selected a very dark grey for the background colour of the website and a vibrant yellow which we used in moderation across the website design, and which sat only on top of the grey for highlights. And of course white for the majority of text and buttons. Colour breakdown below:
Imagery
During the process of designing this website, we learnt a lot about the martial art Muay Thai. One of the best things about being a website designer is that you get to work with such a vast array of clients who all do amazingly different things, and we get to learn so much about so many business types. Finding imagery for this one was a little tricky, but we whittled it down to some great martial arts shots which we used throughout the website. We wanted the images to look strong and powerful, but not aggressive. I think we have a great final selection on the finished website design.
Functionality
The team at Rare Breed wanted their website design to be mostly informational about Muay Thai and the classes they offer. They also wanted their clients to be able to book different class types via an online booking system which they already had set up. So we created a membership page which gave the different class membership options and linked them to the membership payment pages to book. We also added in a live feed for their Google reviews on the home page which we find helps to give new customers reassurance and gives trust to your brand. We also put strong call to actions across the website design to lead customers to sign up for their membership.
