Hello November

Although we are walking into a November which will be very different to previous years, there are still a number of things we can do to make us feel in the grip of some normality. Right?

Have a back garden bonfire
With all community bonfire displays cancelled this year, why not get all wrapped up, get your bobble hats on and have a little family bonfire in your own back garden.

Have some comfort food
When the weather turns and the evenings darken, warm, hearty suppers always make me feel a little brighter and cosier.

Early morning rambles
As even the mornings are darker, and often misty, getting your daily exercise early on in the day to see the world waking up might lift your spirits somewhat.

Hot chocolate with marshmallows
Go on! If ever there was a time to treat yourself and chuck the diet out of the window, November 2020 is it. With everything that we have all been through so far this year, we all deserve a little pick me up!

Have an indoor dance party.
With yourself or members of your household, either works! Get the music on loud and jump around. Or do what we do in our house and hold an almighty air guitar party. It gets competitive!

Start your Christmas shopping early (online of course!)
Being stuck indoors does mean we have more time for online browsing, so it might be a great time to start getting some ideas together for those Christmas pressies.

Support your local shops
Small businesses are struggling right now, so maybe use this lockdown as an opportunity to explore small businesses (which are still allowed to trade) in your area and find out what they offer.

Support local businesses which have had to close
Maybe some of your local businesses which are deemed non-essential and have had to close, are offering their services via home delivery or online ordering. Check them out and see what they have to offer.

Here at Lollipop Rocks know how tough this year has been for small businesses. We have helped our clients in any ways we can. A lot of our existing clients have had to change the way they run their businesses, adapting to the current situation. Others have had to press pause on their online shops for now whilst they figure out how to proceed. That's what is so great about our pay monthly website design service compared to others out there - we don't have any contracts, so if you need to put your website on hold for a few weeks or months, just let us know. We'll take it offline and keep it safe for you until you are ready to get back up and running. We really do want to help small businesses!

But it's not all doom and gloom. From out of the midst of this pandemic we have also seen some small businesses adapt really well, from changing the way they sell their products or services, to adding online stores to their current websites, offering home delivery services and supporting their local communities.

We have also seen a lot of new businesses spring up during the pandemic, which is inspiring to see! Sometimes an opportunity presents itself and you just have to grab it.

If you have a new business idea you are thinking about getting off the ground, talk to us at Lollipop Rocks. We offer pay monthly website design starting at £25 per month (£55 per month for ecommerce), with absolutely no upfront fees. Not one! You get to see a 2 page mock up of your design before you need to hand over any money. Oh and there's no contracts, so you keep the site online as long as you want to. See, we really are in the business of helping small businesses.
